Nagaland official calls for Pochury unity at Yemshe festival

Kohima: Nagaland disaster management advisor Z Nyusietho Nyuthe addressed the Pochury community on October 3 during the Yemshe festival in Lephori Village. He called for unity among the tribe. He pushed for the preservation of their cultural and linguistic identity.

Nyuthe framed the celebration as a period for prayer, forgiveness, and reconciliation. He noted that the Pochury tribe occupies a land of fortunes rich with natural resources and minerals. He urged locals to work hard and manage these assets for the advancement of their district.

The advisor praised the local gazetted officers for their clean record and dedicated public service. He said, "Pochury as a land of diversity" remains a point of strength for the community. He asked the younger generation to prioritize learning the Pochury dialect to keep their roots alive.

Nyuthe closed the event with a call for collective development. He insisted that personal reflection and moral amends remain vital for the common good.
