Kohima: The Naga Students Union Kolkata recently gathered at the Circular Road Baptist Chapel for the 58th Freshers Social. The event centered on the theme A New Chapter. A New Beginning. Members turned out in force. Churong L Longkumer, president of the union, delivered the keynote address to the assembled crowd.
Dr. Moasunep Kichu attended as the guest of honor. Kichu works as a producer at EMRC, a government media center based at St. Xavier’s College. He spoke to the new students about their future. He encouraged them as they begin this stage of their lives. Tsomongthe, pastor of the Naga Christian Fellowship Kolkata, led a prayer for the newcomers. The event ended with the formal crowning of Mr. and Ms. Fresher.
