Missing Tura man recovered from West Bengal railway station

Shillong: Kunal Hajong is back home. The 29-year-old Tura man went missing on June 24, sparking a frantic search. A stranger spotted him sitting on a bench at Howrah Railway Station in West Bengal. The bystander recognized Hajong from a missing person post shared on Facebook.

The individual took Hajong to Bongaigaon and contacted the Dobasipara police. Officers arrived, took custody of the man, and drove him back to Tura. Police completed the handoff to his relieved family members at 5:30 AM on Sunday morning.
