Kohima: Deputy Commissioner Phuleshe K. Yepthomi convened a district review meeting on July 15 inside his Meluri office. The session focused on the rollout of PM POSHAN and Samagra Shiksha. Officials from School Education, Social Welfare, and Health departments joined the discussion.

Yepthomi grilled these departments on their recent progress. He demanded updates on achievements and lingering gaps in execution. Coordination is now the priority. The Deputy Commissioner pushed for stronger ties between the agencies. He wants departments to back each other to reach every eligible person in the district.

Attendees weighed new ways to track projects. They discussed stricter monitoring and better timing to fix current issues. The group included the District Planning Officer, the Child Development Project Officer, and the Senior Medical Officer. The Range Forest Officer, Sub-Divisional Education Officer, and the Assistant Manager of SBI Meluri also joined the talks.

Yepthomi closed the session with a clear directive. He appealed to all departments to "strengthen inter-departmental coordination and ensure proper convergence in implementing government welfare schemes."
