Shillong: Aspirants across Meghalaya are demanding the National Testing Agency and government fix the broken NEET process. Students from Physics Wallah, Aakash Institute, Meghalaya Star, and Immanuel Coaching Academy say testing scandals have wrecked their trust in the system. They want a fair playing field where merit matters more than backroom deals.
The anxiety is real. One student noted, "I hope the system improves and treats every student fairly." Many worry that any new disruption will leave them emotionally devastated and academically defeated. Some candidates now prep for the exam while simultaneously bracing for the possibility of a total repeat.
Lambokmiki Suchiang of Meghalaya Star studies daily while mentally preparing for another incident. Aakash Institute student Wansuk holds the same grim outlook. Delfinia Pathaw warned that the current uncertainty creates immense emotional stress after months of hard work. Students openly backed recent protests at Jantar Mantar as a necessary response to ongoing corruption.
Candidates maintain that hard work is only valid when the system is transparent. They are not asking for an easier test. Their collective message to officials is simple: "We are not asking for an easier examination. We just want a fair and transparent process." Students hope for future exams free from the leaks and bias that currently threaten their careers.
