Kohima: A free health screening camp served the residents of Mungya village on Sunday, offering essential medical consultations and treatments directly to the community. Spearheaded by Dr. Mharhoni Odyuo in partnership with Wokha based HN Pharmacy, the initiative aimed to bridge the gap for villagers who often struggle to reach medical facilities in town.

Many residents, particularly the elderly and those with mobility challenges, face significant difficulties travelling to Wokha to seek professional care. By bringing services directly to the village, the organisers addressed a variety of health concerns including nerve issues, urinary tract infections, polycystic ovary syndrome, and chronic joint pain.

A total of 42 individuals received care during the event, ranging in age up to 90 year old Womongo. Organisers stated, "The camp was aimed at bringing healthcare closer to rural communities where access to medical facilities, medicines and regular check ups remains limited." All medications provided throughout the day were sponsored by HN Pharmacy, which operates from Police Point in Wokha. Local residents welcomed the effort, expressing appreciation for the accessible support for their medical needs.
