Mankachar Police Bust Two Men for Heroin Possession

Guwahati: Mankachar Police apprehended two suspects during an anti-drug sweep. Officers identified the men as Afzalur Rahman and Arif Ahmed. They caught the pair moving narcotics through the region.

The operation netted 19 grams of suspected heroin. Police found the stash inside 18 separate plastic containers. Officials seized the contraband immediately.

Authorities are currently hunting for the source of the supply. They aim to dismantle the wider trafficking network behind the incident. According to police, the duo was "allegedly involved in the transportation of heroin." Investigators are now working to track down any additional suspects linked to this trafficking operation as security forces intensify their efforts across Assam.
