Imphal: Churachandpur Police arrested 35-year-old Ngamkhojang Kipgen on October 7. Officers caught him in Misao Lhahvom Village. He had 785 grams of suspected brown sugar in his possession. The drugs were hidden inside 60 soap cases. Police also seized his Pulsar motorcycle.
Kipgen is the son of Jangmang Kipgen of Tuidam Village. He currently lives at Lhangnem Village. Authorities took the suspect and the contraband into custody to start legal proceedings. A forensic lab will test the stash to confirm what it is. Police confirmed the seizure, stating, "The accused and the seized items have been taken into custody as further legal proceedings are initiated."
