Imphal: Manipur Police intercepted a truck in Jiribam district, uncovering a massive haul of narcotic tablets. The drugs hold an estimated street value of 80 crore rupees. Authorities stopped the vehicle while it traveled from Imphal toward Cachar in Assam.

The bust marks another win in a wider crackdown on the illicit trade. Police are now mapping the supply chain. They want the sources, the smugglers, and the final stop for the shipment. Officials noted that the seizure has "highlighted the continued use of the Manipur-Assam route for alleged illegal drug transportation."

Officers are running a full investigation. They plan to dismantle the network behind the move. The state remains on high alert for further trafficking attempts.
