Longleng Officials Train for 2027 Census Data Collection

Kohima: Census officials and field functionaries met at the DPDB Hall in Longleng on September 23. They gathered to prepare for the Town and Village Directory required for the 2027 District Census Handbook. ADC Thungchanbemo Tungoe chaired the session for representatives from every district census circle.

Tungoe pushed for accuracy. He demanded sincerity and commitment from everyone involved in gathering and verifying local data. The handbook remains a vital reference tool for the state. Tungoe noted, "I have full confidence in the officials and functionaries to carry out their responsibilities effectively."

Technical leads Imkongnungsang, Moanungsang, and Dauom ran the show. These experts from the Directorate of Census Operations in Nagaland mapped out the specific procedures for the upcoming count. Participants cycled through intensive and interactive sessions to clarify exactly how to verify local directory information. The training ensures the team is ready to hit the ground running.
