Kohima: Arthur Edwards died July 28 at Eden Hospital in Dimapur. He founded the Livingstone Foundation International and established the Breeze Restaurant and Bakery. The community is mourning.
The Nagaland Gorkha Association and the Dimapur District Gorkha Indigenous Forum released formal statements regarding his death. NGA members labeled the entrepreneur and educationist a major loss to the local Gorkha community. They highlighted his past work as an advisor for the Dimapur Gorkha Elders’ Forum.
DDGIF representatives echoed this grief. They remembered Edwards as a pioneer entrepreneur and social activist who cared deeply for Gorkha welfare. He also served as an advisor to the Dimapur Gorkha Union. The forum stated, "his wisdom, character and service had left a lasting impact, and his demise was a great loss to the Gorkha community in Nagaland."
Both organizations sent prayers to the family. They specifically addressed Nisheli Edwards and the rest of the household. The groups requested strength and comfort for the survivors during this difficult time.
