Kohima: The Men Department of the Liangmai Baptist Association wrapped up a two-day Bible study and board meeting in Tening Town on August 4. Held at the Jubilee Memorial Hall, the event drew 72 representatives from churches across Nagaland. The program focused on the theme, What is that in your hand?, taken from Exodus 4:2.
Resource person Apfukru Dolie, the Missions Director of the Angami Baptist Church Council, led the study. He pointed to the life of Moses to show how God turns everyday items into powerful tools. Dolie told the crowd, "God often uses ordinary things already in a person's possession to accomplish extraordinary purposes." He pushed the men to consecrate their own talents to help the church grow.
The delegates agreed to set up a formal structure for their department. They appointed a three-man committee tasked with finding and recommending future office bearers. The group also approved plans for several new initiatives, including a couples' seminar, range-wise discipleship training for fathers, and a Men's Camp slated for 2026.
Rev N K Joseph, Secretary of the LBA Men Department, closed the session with a call to action. He urged fathers to act as God's army men within their local churches. He pressed individual congregations to step up and host more activities to engage men and reach those who have yet to embrace the Christian faith.
