Kohima Colony Closes Unsafe Box Cutting Road

Kohima: The Officers' Hill Colony Council shut down the Box Cutting road in Kohima on August 2. The route near the PWD Junction is now blocked to all traffic. Drivers must stay away. Severe potholes created a major safety hazard for the local community.

Council leaders issued a public notice confirming the closure. The path will stay closed until the road improves or repairs finish. The decision followed an August 2 report by The Morung Express that highlighted the crumbling state of the pavement. The council stated the move was "in the interest of public safety."
