Kohima: The Chakhesang Mothers' Association is taking a stand. Leaders gathered in Pfutsero on July 18 for an emergency session to address a spike in local crime. Presidents and secretaries from all eight area units attended the meeting in Phek district to map out a defense strategy.
The group plans to ramp up awareness efforts to protect families from dangerous incidents. They are tightening their grip on community safety. Association president Zhonelü Tunyi confirmed the board resolved to stay united and keep watch to prevent future criminal activity. "The association resolved to stand united and remain vigilant to help prevent crime-related incidents in the future," Tunyi said.
