Chai Boys Claim Victory at Nito Theological College Penalty Shootout

Kohima: The Chai Boys took home the trophy at the Open Penalty Shootout Tournament held at the Zunheboto Government College Ground on July 18. Thirty-two teams from across the district joined the contest hosted by Nito Theological College.

FIFA 26 walked away as runners-up after the final round. Zunheboto Town Council Councillor Zhuli Chishi attended the event as the special guest to address the athletes. She spoke about the necessity of teamwork and character development.

"Always acknowledge and support one another, build strong teams, make friends with everyone, and maintain patience and discipline in life. These values will take you far," she said. Chishi emphasized that athletes should value the act of participation more than the final score.

NTC Academic Dean Vilibo K Yeptho chaired the day, with Vinoli M leading the invocation. Students performed a welcome song before Principal Tony K gave the opening address. Tocky V Jimomi, the convenor of the special project, wrapped up the proceedings with a vote of thanks.
