BJP Recruits 78 Families in Noney District Push

Imphal: Seventy-eight households from Longmai and the Bazaar area joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today. The party staged a one-day political awareness and reception programme at Longmai in Noney district. High-ranking officials led the recruitment effort.

Hill Areas Committee Chairman Dinganglung Gangmei attended the event alongside BJP Nungba Mandal president Makuphun Rongmei. Other party functionaries rounded out the delegation. They outlined a plan to fix roads, bridges, drinking water, healthcare, education, electricity, and sports infrastructure within the 54-Nungba Assembly Constituency.

Leaders pushed for better delivery of welfare schemes. They also focused on building booth-level organization to ensure direct contact with villagers in remote zones. The party called for greater participation of youth, women, and village communities in local development. As one leader noted during the session, the goal is "strengthening booth-level organisation and maintaining direct contact with villagers, particularly in remote areas."
