BJP Protests in Guwahati Over Congress Demonstration at PM Residence

Guwahati: BJP supporters flooded the streets of Guwahati on July 22. They marched to condemn a demonstration held by the Congress party outside the official residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Tensions are running high. The two parties remain locked in a heated political confrontation.

Assam minister Biswajit Daimary blasted the opposition's tactics during the event. He called the demonstration irresponsible and bad for democracy. He expects public officials to act with more maturity. "Congress leaders, along with MPs from some opposition parties, staged a demonstration in front of the Prime Minister's residence. Such things should not happen in a democratic country like ours," Daimary said.

Daimary urged the opposition to stand down and let the official investigation run its course. He claimed the Prime Minister already provided clarity on the matter. No one will face consequences until the probe finishes. The minister insisted that authorities will identify the guilty only after the investigation concludes. He told reporters that protestors should wait for the facts before taking to the streets.
