Assam Rifles Leads Student Exchange Trip Between Tripura and Assam

Agartala: Assam Rifles ran a four-day student exchange program connecting Tripura and Assam from July 27 to July 30, 2026. The trip brought students from Assam Rifles Public School in Udaipur to the Dima Hasao district in Assam. Soldiers welcomed the group at Haflong. They briefed the kids on the force history and its job keeping the Northeast secure.

The students toured Haflong Lake and the historic town of Maibang. They stopped by the Circuit House to learn about local tourism. A visit to the Office of the District Commissioner taught them how the government runs its departments. It was a busy schedule. The group saw equipment and weapons displays too.

Instructors added a career counseling session and a motivational talk to the agenda. This gave the teens a look at life outside school walls. Teachers and students said the trip was a success. They thanked the Assam Rifles for the work, noting the visit was "both meaningful and memorable." The program ended with the group leaving with a better grasp of the region.
