Assam Finance Minister Baruah Reviews State Financial Strategy

Guwahati: Assam Finance Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah sat down with Finance Department officials at Janata Bhawan in Dispur. The Secretary also attended the session. The group centered their discussion on departmental priorities and immediate goals for the state. They want a tighter financial framework.

Baruah emphasized that the Economic Affairs vertical acts as the engine for sound management. He noted it supports the state's growth. Baruah stated, "The importance of the Economic Affairs vertical in ensuring sound financial management, strengthening economic governance and supporting Assam's sustained growth and development" remains a top priority. Officials are now mapping the way forward to secure the state's economic standing.
