ANTA Peren Denounces Shooting of Civilian Vehicle near Pimla Village

Kohima: The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA), Peren Unit, has condemned an unprovoked shooting directed at a civilian vehicle near Pimla Village. The incident, carried out by an unidentified perpetrator in the early hours of June 5, has sparked serious concerns regarding safety on local roads.

The association characterized the attack as a cowardly act that directly threatened the lives of commuters and commercial drivers. In an official statement, the group emphasized that "an attack on civilian transport is an attack on the peace of society and cannot be tolerated." Members stated that such indiscriminate violence undermines the safety of those who rely on these routes for their daily livelihood.

In response to the violence, the ANTA Peren Unit has voiced its full support for the victims and their families. The organization is now calling on law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation to identify and capture the person responsible for the shooting.

To prevent future incidents, the association is urging authorities to increase security measures in the area. They have requested the deployment of police patrol units around Pimla Village and other vulnerable road sections to ensure the protection of travelers moving forward.
