Shillong: The State Youth Wing of the Voice of the People Party (VPP) has formally requested an explanation from the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills regarding the recent recruitment for Sectional Assistant positions. Party members raised concerns over the speed of the selection process, which concluded with a result announcement only days after the May 23, 2026, written examination.
Marbud Dkhar, president of the State Youth Wing, submitted a representation to the district administration highlighting how the "unusually swift" announcement has caused candidates to doubt the credibility and transparency of the evaluation. The party argues that such rapid grading undermines public trust in government hiring practices.
To address these suspicions, the VPP has asked the Deputy Commissioner to release specific data, including the total number of test-takers and a breakdown of the successful candidates by name, roll number, and final score. The organization expects a prompt response to ensure accountability and reassure job seekers that the selection process was conducted fairly.
