Agartala: Tripura officials on Thursday dismissed claims that a Community Health Officer recruitment exam was compromised. Health Secretary Kiran Gitte stated that an internal probe found no evidence of a paper leak. The government maintains the entire process followed strict security protocols.
The recruitment drive aimed to fill 126 positions under the National Health Mission. On February 1, exactly 2,614 candidates sat for the test across 12 different centres. Officials declared the final results on July 15. No complaints surfaced until after the results were released.
Gitte addressed the press at the Agartala secretariat alongside NHM Mission Director Saju Vaheed A. He confirmed that the administration tracked the handling, transport, and distribution of all papers to ensure security. “The examination was conducted transparently and there is no substance in the allegations of a paper leak,” Gitte said.
The probe committee reviewed every stage of the test to identify potential irregularities. They found nothing. Gitte urged candidates to ignore social media rumors that incite anxiety. He emphasized that the state remains committed to merit-based hiring. The government promised to act if credible evidence appears, but for now, the case remains closed.
