Gangtok: Sikkim BJP leaders blasted former Chief Minister Pawan Chamling today. They claim his recent attempt to link Sikkim with the current turmoil in Manipur is reckless. The party called the comparison both unfortunate and insensitive.

Sikkim is stable. The state is politically mature. BJP officials demanded that Chamling show proof to back his claims instead of spreading fear. They noted that public accountability requires evidence. The party stated, "invoking the challenges faced by the people of Manipur for political messaging does not contribute to constructive public discourse."

The BJP insists it protects the state identity and constitutional safeguards under Article 371F. They pointed to federal support for local infrastructure, healthcare, and tourism as proof of their commitment. The party maintains that its goal is inclusive development, not division. They urged the former leader to stop relying on rhetoric and focus on the state's future.
