Police Seize 27kg of Cannabis and Cash in Assam Raid

Guwahati: Police raided a residence in Agdala village near Baihata Chariali, Assam, pulling 27 kilograms of cannabis and 16 lakh rupees in cash from the property. The haul came directly from the home of Gautam Sarma. Officers moved fast. They detained two individuals on the spot.

Authorities now hold the drugs and the money as evidence. Officials are digging into the operation to find out where the stash came from and what the cash was for. Investigation is active. Police remain tight-lipped about the specifics, noting that "further details regarding the identities of those detained and the circumstances surrounding the seizure are awaited."
