Police Rescue Three Children Who Fled Guwahati Care Home

Guwahati: New Bongaigaon Government Railway Police rescued three children on Tuesday morning, August 18. The group turned up at the railway station after fleeing Ila Snehalaya, a care center located in Betkuchi, Guwahati. This facility operates under the Snehalaya network for kids in distress.

Officers questioned the children immediately following the recovery. The kids claimed they escaped the home to flee physical abuse. They told police they left the facility "after allegedly being beaten there." Authorities are now investigating the escape and the claims of assault. No further details have surfaced as the inquiry continues.
