A local youth stands accused of exploiting multiple women and using threats to release private videos to keep them quiet. The viral posts claim these abuses left one victim pregnant and demand public action to secure justice for those involved.
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem confirmed the department is looking into the claims. Authorities have already finished the medical examination of one person. Syiem stated, "The medical examination of the victim has been completed and an FIR is being filed."
Police have not made any arrests yet. Formal investigation steps start once the FIR is officially on the books. Officers continue to monitor the situation as the digital firestorm grows.
