Police Arrest Two Suspected Motorcycle Thieves in Shillong

Shillong: Members of the Pasteur Beat House Special Party arrested two wanted individuals in the Polo area on Tuesday. The suspects, 20-year-old Cornelius Mukhim of Mawlai Mawroh and 21-year-old Meshanki Lamare of Sapai, are accused of orchestrating a string of motorcycle thefts throughout Shillong.

Police investigators report that the pair allegedly transported stolen bikes toward the Bangladesh border. During the arrest, officers seized a variety of tools believed to be used in the crimes, including Allen keys, Torx keys, wire strippers, and a screwdriver.

Authorities also confiscated 19,500 rupees in cash, two sling bags, and a metal gun lighter from the suspects. The two men are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday to face charges related to their alleged criminal activities.
