Guwahati: Forest personnel apprehended a suspected poacher inside Assam's Raimona National Park on August 20. The man carried two country-made guns. He was part of a six-member poaching crew caught by rangers during a routine patrol.
Five suspects ditched the scene and vanished into the brush. Officers secured the one man who could not outrun them. The forest department is now hunting the five fugitives who slipped through the net. Officials stated, "Forest officials have initiated further investigation to identify and trace the other members of the group who escaped from the spot."
