Kohima: Peren hosted its 33rd District Level Hindi Diwas on September 12 at Government High School in Mhainamtsi. Headmistress Ingaulule Liegise served as the chief guest for the event. She focused on the role of the language within the state.
Liegise credited Hindi teachers for changing how students approach the subject. She believes the program bridges gaps across the region. "Teaching Hindi is definitely connecting the small corners of Nagaland," she told the crowd.
The language carries a long history. It uses the Devanagari script. In 1949, the Constituent Assembly gave it official status.
