Nagaland Governor Tours Tuophema Village Tourism Initiatives

Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited Tuophema Village on August 17. He came to see community-led tourism projects in action. The PRO Lok Bhavan stated he received a warm welcome upon his arrival. Women at the Naga Kitchen gave him a live weaving demonstration. This display highlighted indigenous craftsmanship and local textile methods.

He toured the Tuophema Experience circuit to see the village sites. Stops included the Kharu gate and the Tuophema Amphitheatre. He also inspected the Ancestral Kense Hut, Tuophezhu Hall, and the Regional Craft and Resource Centre. The village promotes sustainable tourism to generate local jobs. Officials noted the area maintains a firm balance between nature and custom. They believe Tuophema serves as a model for the state.
