Imphal: Manipur officials hauled home four awards at the 109th and 110th SKOCH Summit on September 26, 2026. The event took place at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. It focused on inclusive growth and banking. Manipur walked away with two gold and two silver medals.
Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Kangpokpi, earned a gold award for "Hope Grown: reviving livelihoods for displaced families by black rice cultivation." Gaurav Dogra, IPS, SP of Churachandpur Police, also took home gold for Hinchi. This project fights illicit poppy farming by offering farmers sustainable options.
The silver winners included Mayanglambam Rajkumar Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West. He was honored for the Mobile Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre for HIV/AIDS. Ngangbam Roben Singh, IAS, Director of the Directorate of Printing and Stationery, picked up the second silver for e-Gazette Manipur. This project digitally transformed the state's gazette publication process.
The SKOCH Group hosted several summits throughout 2026. These meetings highlighted governance and development goals tied to the Viksit Bharat, or Developed India, vision.
