Kohima: The Liangmai Baptist Pastors Council gathered for its 27th annual meeting in Jalukie B from September 29 to 30, 2026. The group operated under the theme, Set Your House in Order. Jalukie B Baptist Church hosted the event and provided financial sponsorship for the sessions.
A separate retreat kicked off on September 29 at Kuda Village Baptist Church. Resource persons Rev. Kenilevi Khate, Rev. Miazielie Sakhrie, and Shurhovilie Savino led the instruction. They covered topics ranging from discipleship and the doctrine of the Baptist to worship and pastoral ministry. The speakers urged the clergy to focus on goal setting and the connection between faith and daily work.
The council emphasized that followers must surrender to Jesus and obey his teachings. "Discipleship was a lifelong process of surrendering to Jesus, obeying His teachings, and helping others by bearing spiritual fruits and making more disciples." Participants also examined how biblical goal setting serves as a map to keep believers on track with God's purpose.
Kaininglung Zeliang, who serves as the pastor and president of the council, thanked Kuda Village Baptist Church for supporting the retreat. He also credited the Jalukie B congregation for their role in hosting the yearly assembly.
