Kohima: Kohima Police recovered a dead body from a downstream area in Khuzama village on September 7. Khuzama Police Station sent a team to the site after receiving a tip by phone. Officers performed legal formalities and held a public identification process, but the man remains unidentified.
The deceased is a man aged 40 to 45. He stands between 5 feet and 5 feet 2 inches tall. He was wearing two finger rings and a necklace chain. Authorities moved the body to a morgue for preservation.
Police are asking the public for help. "Kohima Police has appealed to anyone with information regarding the identity of the deceased, or whose family member or known person has been reported missing and may correspond with these particulars, to contact the Officer-in-Charge of Khuzama Police Station at 6009308089 / 9774000666."
