James Sangma Files Nomination for Rajya Sabha Seat in Meghalaya

Shillong: James Sangma has officially submitted his nomination papers to contest the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from Meghalaya. Representing the National People's Party, his candidacy is backed by the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance 2 coalition.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma confirmed the filing on Monday and shared the party's support for the candidate. Following the submission, the Chief Minister noted that James Sangma "reaffirmed his commitment to serve as a strong voice for Meghalaya and its people in the national capital."

The ruling coalition has offered its full backing to the nominee as he enters the next phase of the election process. Leadership expressed confidence in the candidate's ability to represent state interests effectively on the national stage.
