Guwahati: Jagadish Bhuyan fired back at rumors claiming he quit the Assam Jatiya Parishad. The party general secretary called the social media claims completely false. He remains in his post. He has no plans to walk away from the organization he helped build.

Bhuyan blamed a group of agitators for spinning lies about his political standing. He warned party workers to ignore the noise. He accused these unnamed actors of running a targeted campaign against the party for some time. This pressure forced him to go public with a firm denial.

He left a former Cabinet-rank position to focus on regional politics. He views the AJP as his final political identity. He wants to uphold the national self-respect of Assam. He stated, "Politics was never a profession for me, neither is it today nor will it be in the future."

Bhuyan promised he will only leave the party when he retires from politics for good. He expects to hold his current position until that day arrives.
