IOCL and Army Honor 30 Students After NEET Success

Guwahati: Indian Oil Corporation Limited, the Indian Army, and the National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation gathered at the Digboi Club on Thursday to honor 30 successful students. These learners qualified for NEET 2026 after completing the fourth batch of the Indian Oil-Army Centre of Excellence and Wellness program in Tinsukia.

Forty-five students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds joined the initiative. They received free coaching, meals, housing, and study materials. Of that group, 30 made the cut. One success story includes Nabajyoti Mili from Dhemaji district, who tallied 426 marks. Mili, the son of a farmer, attended Siksha Rectrix High School. His village suffers from poor medical access, which drove his desire to become a doctor.

Executive Director Rahul Prashant and Colonel Shivek Sharma led the ceremony alongside mentors and families. Prashant vowed that Indian Oil would keep backing education for kids in need. Colonel Sharma challenged the new qualifiers to stay focused on service. He told the group, "Uphold the values of compassion, integrity and service as they pursue careers in medicine."

This initiative has run for three years. Past students from the program have landed spots in medical, engineering, and paramedical courses. NIEDO serves as the primary implementation partner for the Tinsukia project.
