Kohima: Imchen’s Custom Art School marked its third foundation day on July 11 at the AG Council Hall in Kohima. Despite the summer break, a strong crowd of students attended the event. Proprietor Moa Imchen, a 3D animator and architectural designer, used the milestone to push the school’s mission of inclusive education.
The school prioritizes skill development for children with special needs. Students learn arts, crafts, clay modelling, 3D animation, and basic 3D architectural design. Imchen remains focused on growth. "The school is inclusive and provides opportunities for all students, including Children with Special Needs. We encourage students to explore their talents through arts and help build skills, including problem-solving and self-expression. It is a house of design to try new ideas, embrace mistakes, and turn thoughts into action," Imchen said.
The institution keeps a busy calendar. It holds competitions for World TB Day, World Music Day, World No Tobacco Day, and World Environment Day. These programs build experience. Students from the school have regularly taken home prizes during various inter-school competitions.
