Kohima: Akeho David Chisho and Shivanshu Khola won the Dimapur round of the INTACH National Heritage Quiz. The event took place August 21 at Tulip Hall, Duncan Bosti. Sixty students competed. They formed 30 teams of two, battling through both written and oral testing.
Hollotoli School dominated the leaderboard. Chisho and Khola, both in Class 9, claimed the top spot. Their schoolmates Chenoni Kent and Denai M Phom, both Class 8, grabbed second place. Sadhya Mishra and Vipi N Chishi from Delhi Public School finished third.
Six schools sent students to the event: Hollotoli School, Delhi Public School, Christian Higher Secondary School, Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School, El-Shaddai Academy, and Little Star Higher Secondary School. The winning pair now prepares for the regional finals in Guwahati. A win there sends them to the national round in New Delhi this November.
The INTACH Nagaland Chapter thanked the schools and teachers for their involvement. They released a statement saying: "The INTACH Nagaland Chapter congratulated the winners, participating schools and teachers for their support and encouraged students to continue nurturing their curiosity and interest in heritage."
