High Court Hears State Plea Challenging Sonam Raghuvanshi Bail

Shillong: The Meghalaya High Court is nearing a decision on a petition filed by the state government to cancel the bail of Sonam Raghuvanshi. Raghuvanshi faces charges related to the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, which took place in Sohra last year.

During Monday's proceedings, Justice Wanlura Diengdoh heard arguments from defense counsel S. Thapa. Following the presentation, the court granted a request to submit written arguments, noting the legal representative's intent to "file written arguments later in the day."

The court has scheduled the matter to continue on Tuesday to resolve the challenge against the lower court's previous bail order.
