GPRN/NSCN Mourns Death of Senior Kilonser Dovishe Chophi

Kohima: The GPRN/NSCN (Unification) lost a key figure this week. Senior functionary Dovishe Chophi died on August 17. He was a resident of Hevishe village in the Niuland district, originally hailing from Litsami. The group confirmed the news through its Ministry of Information and Publicity.

Chophi spent his life fighting for the Naga national cause. He joined the movement on May 16, 1956. He served with distinction for decades. At the time of his passing, he held the rank of Kilonser. The organization noted his unwavering loyalty and hard work in various roles throughout his long tenure.

His comrades feel the sting of this loss. The group stated that his death is a "profound loss to his family, comrades and those who knew him." Leaders of the GPRN/NSCN (U) offered prayers for the bereaved family and relatives. They intend to honor his legacy of sacrifice, claiming his life will continue to inspire those still committed to their cause.
