Kohima: Government Polytechnic Kohima held a career counseling event dubbed Pragati 2026 on September 11. It happened at the school's Auditorium Hall. The two-hour session introduced SATHEE, a joint initiative between the Ministry of Education and IIT Kanpur designed to help students prepare for entrance exams.
Pukivi Muru chaired the meeting. The discussion revolved around five pillars: awareness, development, aspiration, technology, and innovation. The organizers wanted to show rural students how to handle professional hurdles and use online resources. Principal Keyiekhru Rhutso, Senior Academic Lecturer Petesetuo, and Training and Placement Officer Ketoulhoukho Kenguruisie S provided expert guidance to the attendees. Students took the floor to ask questions about their futures.
The guests also toured a science exhibition during the event. They inspected models built by the students. The officials praised the work, noting, "The distinguished guests also reviewed a science exhibition showcasing innovative models created by students, lauding their creativity and practical applications."
