Kohima: Family members of the late Mayang Lima erected a waiting shed at the New Naga Cemetery in Zani village on October 5. They finished the project to mark the first anniversary of his passing. The structure stands as a tribute to his lifetime of service and care for the community.
Amongla, the widow of Mayang Lima, spoke for the family during the opening. She noted that his favorite song, Because He Lives, served as a constant source of strength. She stated, "Because He Lives, which she said had inspired the family."
GK Rengma, president of the Naga Council Dimapur, praised the gift. He noted the shed provides shelter for mourners and visitors against summer heat and heavy rain. Pastor Alemsunep of the World Impact Community Church led the dedication ceremony. He officially opened the site for public use.
