He explained that running elections in the world's largest democracy is a complex, massive task. He stated, "Journalists play a vital role in ensuring that the public receives accurate and trustworthy information."

Digital tools took center stage. Dr. Seema Khanna, the ECI Director General for IT, showed off new ways to access voting data. She pushed news outlets to use the ECINET platform to track polling arrangements and state services. Officials also reviewed recent projects like the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The conference aims to help reporters better explain election rules and future plans to the public.
