Kohima: The Eagle Crest Training Academy and Consultancy (ECTAAC) opened its new Kohima centre on October 7. The site sits inside the Don Bosco College, Kohima (DBCK) campus. This launch deepens a partnership that began in 2021. Both organizations aim to sharpen student skills and expand employment access.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Tious Varghese, the principal of DBCK, told the audience that schools must provide paths beyond standard academic lessons. Temjenkala Aier, the CEO of ECTAAC, delivered the keynote address. She noted that the academy wants to link local students to national employers. "The aim of ECTAAC is not merely to train or providing job placement, it is about creating a bridge between education and employment," Aier said. She plans to bring firms from across the country to the college for regular placement drives.
The initiative targets both current students and youth throughout Kohima. Aier argued that real progress happens when government, community groups, and schools work as one unit. The event included a briefing on specific courses and objectives offered by the academy. Juniper Phom chaired the meeting, and Kewale Wozah, an assistant professor at the college, led the opening prayer. A representative from ECTAAC delivered the vote of thanks before the team finished the day with an interactive session for students and parents.
