Kohima: Lotha Baptist Khumshum in Chokayan Village installed a full-time pastor and associate pastor on August 23, 2026. This service kicked off a fresh chapter for the local congregation. Dr. Suntsuthung Lotha, finance secretary of the Lotha Baptist Churches Association, chaired the proceedings. Members, church leaders, and representatives from the broader Lotha community filled the seats to witness the transition.

Rev. Wojanthung Lotha of Lotha Baptist Church Diphupar B opened the event with an invocation. Rev. Dr. Renbi Rangthang, executive secretary of the LBCA, handled the formal installation and led special prayers. The church declared Myingthungo Shitiri a licensed pastor after his previous service across five villages. Nzanbemo Ngullie, a veteran with over 10 years of experience as pastor in charge, stepped into the role of full-time associate pastor.

Both men committed themselves to shepherding the Chokayan Village congregation and winning souls for the faith. During his message based on 1 Peter 3:8-15, LBCA Youth Secretary Dr. Chenijan Patton called for humility and unity. He reminded the crowd to be "faithful witnesses of Christ in the community."

N. Jacob Yanthan, MD and CEO of the Nagaland State Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing Board, urged the attendees to back the new ministry and stay united. The event ended with a mass prayer for the future of the church and its leaders.
