Assam Tourist Injured in Fall at Elephant Falls

Shillong: A tourist from Assam suffered a head injury Wednesday morning after slipping at Elephant Falls in Upper Shillong. The visitor was at the site with his family when the accident occurred.

Security guards from the San Shnong Youth Welfare Organisation moved fast. They rushed the injured man to the Pomlum Primary Health Centre for immediate medical attention.

Doctors at the center provided first aid before sending him to Civil Hospital in Shillong for further care and observation. The man's condition remains unknown.

Iarap Rynjah, general secretary of the San Shnong Youth Welfare Organisation, confirmed the emergency response. "The organisation’s security responded promptly to ensure the visitor was moved to a medical facility without delay," Rynjah stated.
