Guwahati: A joint team of 20 Assam Rifles and Bordumsa Police pinched a drug dealer in Arunachal Pradesh. They moved on intel about narcotics flowing to anti-national elements. The raid went down in the Lalung area of the Changlang district.
Officers nabbed 50-year-old Jadu Singpho at the scene. He had 75.89 grams of Heroin No. 4 hidden inside six soap cases. The stash carries a street value of roughly Rs 56.91 lakh. Along with the dope, the team seized a mobile phone and Rs 2,67,790 in cash.
Authorities took the suspect to the Bordumsa Police Station. The haul now sits with investigators. According to the official report, the operation highlights the continued efforts of Assam Rifles and the civil police to "curb the trafficking and distribution of narcotic substances and disrupt drug networks operating in the region."
