Assam Minister Atul Bora boosts Bokakhat with education awards and new sanitation fleet

Guwahati: Assam Minister Atul Bora hit the ground running in Bokakhat this week. On July 18, he honored 1,412 high-achieving students at the Bokakhat Higher Secondary School open auditorium. The group included 811 HSLC graduates and 601 Higher Secondary students who aced their 2026 exams. NEET qualifiers also took the stage for their wins.

Ministers Keshab Mahanta and Jayanta Malla Baruah attended the ceremony alongside Rajya Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa. Golaghat District Commissioner Narayan Konwar joined local officials and BJP-AGP alliance leaders to mark the occasion. Bora pushed the youth to aim high. "The talented youth of Bokakhat are the constituency's greatest strength," he told the crowd.

The work shifted to urban infrastructure the next day. On July 19, Bora handed over a new fleet of sanitation vehicles to the Bokakhat Municipal Board. The shipment includes waste collectors, a road sweeper, a sprinkler truck, and a mini super sucker. Bora expects this gear to tighten up local cleaning efforts and keep town streets healthy for everyone.
