Arunachal Fire Personnel Finish Intensive Drill Training

Guwahati: Eighty-three personnel from Arunachal Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services graduated from a rigorous training cycle at the Police Training Centre in Banderdewa. The class included 36 Head Constables serving as drivers and 47 firemen. They underwent intense instruction focused on physical fitness, professional conduct, operational skills, and discipline.

Dusu Kaling, the Principal of the facility, oversaw the program. The training aims to sharpen the force for emergency response. The Police Training Centre, situated in the Papum Pare district near Itanagar, has operated since 1973. It serves as the primary grooming ground for state police.

The center remains a hub for specialized training. It features modern obstacle courses and an integrated Signal Training Centre for wireless and radio technicians. Staff also use a four-lane firing simulator to practice tactical scenarios. Officials expect the recent graduates to bolster the department, noting the program is "aimed at strengthening the preparedness and effectiveness of Arunachal Pradesh's Fire and Emergency Services personnel." This initiative keeps the force ready for the field.
