Guwahati: Adani Airport Holdings Limited is building a 21-room transit hotel at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. The new property will sit on Level 3 of the Arrivals area inside the secure zone of Terminal 2. It will provide hourly and overnight bookings, dining, and dedicated workspaces for business travelers.

This addition follows the company's recent launch of its first Swirl Transit Hotel at Navi Mumbai International Airport. That facility features 80 rooms spread across six categories sized from 130 to 410 square feet. It includes a 24-hour restaurant, a bar, smart televisions, Wi-Fi, and electronic safes.

Suchit Bansal, CEO of Non-Aero Business at AAHL, noted the expansion plan. "Swirl Transit Hotel brings accommodation into the airport environment, giving travellers greater flexibility to rest, work or refresh between flights," Bansal said.

The company wants to grow its non-aeronautical services across its network. AAHL currently operates eight airports, including locations in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, and Thiruvananthapuram. The brand targets passengers dealing with long layovers, early departures, and late arrivals.
